My name is Martha Isabel Aguayo and I have been a licensed Texas real estate agent since 2017. I enjoy working with clients in reaching their American dream of owning a home or selling their home when their housing needs change. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in 1994 and majored in Journalism with a minor in Marketing from the University of Texas at El Paso. In 2001 I earned my Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, Santa Teresa, New Mexico. My work experience has been in publishing the El Paso and Fort Bliss Map since 2016 and the Apartment Finder Magazine from 2003 to 2015. Being in the apartment industry taught me the importance of multi-family housing from the owner/investor’s, property management company and tenants’ perspectives. My first career was in radio and television advertising. My responsibilities were to work with local and regional clients with their marketing campaigns. I assisted in scheduling the clients’ commercials, copy writing and video production. I have also taught marketing, management and real estate classes at El Paso Community College (EPCC) and University of Phoenix. My community involvement has been with the UTEP Alumni Association as Past President and a REALTOR® with the Greater El Paso Association of REALTORS® as a member of the Education and Governmental Affairs Committees. In 2019 I established the Martha Isabel Aguayo UTEP Scholarship Endowment. Scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Multimedia Journalism. My daughter, Andria Aguayo Franco, she is an attorney in Austin, TX and has my granddaughter and grandson. My son, Christopher Aguayo, is a Material and Metallurgical Engineer in New Orleans, LA and has my four grandsons. I travel every month three or four days to visit both my children and grandchildren.
